The United States Attorney’s Office for Central District of California, Los Angeles, sets September 21, 2022 us sentence date for alleged international Internet fraudster Ramon Abbas known popularly us Hushpuppi.
Hushpuppi’s sentence has been moved three times since being convicted in 2021. He pleaded guilty to the alleged $1.1m fraud last year.
Thom Mrozek, Director of media relations stated that “His first sentencing was initially scheduled for February 14 before being moved to July 11 and then September 21, 2022.
According to court documents, he faces “20 years in prison; three years of supervised release; and a fine of $500,000 or twice the gross gain or gross loss resulting from the offence.”
Hushpuppi pleaded guilty to money laundering, wire fraud, and other charges brought against him by the court.
He is currently set to be sentenced by the U.S court of California in September 21,2022.
Ramon Abbas in 2020 was arrested by the Federal Bureau of Investigation ( FBI ) in United Arab Emirates ( Dubai ) with 12 others and extradited to the United States for prosecution.
