Ghanaian Kevin Danso shortlisted for best defender award in France

Austria-born Ghanaian defender Kevin Danso has been shortlisted for the best defender award in the French Ligue 1 following his outstanding performance.

The 24-year-old who joined RC Lens in August 2021 has been in a rich vein of form in the ongoing campaign.

The Austria international of Ghanaian root has featured in all 17 games for Lens, who currently sit second on the French top-flight table.

His outstanding performance did not go unnoticed and has therefore been nominated for the best central defender in 2022 by French sports portal, L’Equipe.

He is expected to beat competition from fourteen other players to scoop the award.
